Mary Applebee Goldman

July 6, 1934 – March 24, 2022

It is with great sadness that the Northeast Florida Association of REALTORS® has learned of the death of former NEFAR member Mary Applebee Goldman on March 24.

A Jacksonville native, Mrs. Goldman first became a REALTOR® when she joined Watson Realty Corp. in 1979. Over her entire 20-year career, she worked out of Watson’s former branch office that was located at 6206 Atlantic Blvd., and is now home to Watson Mortgage Corp. During her career at Watson, she became a multi-million-dollar producer before retiring in 1999.

In addition to being a superb REALTOR® with excellent customer service skills, Mrs. Goldman mentored more than one young agent in her office. “She was a top producer when I came to work at the Atlantic Boulevard Pottsburg Creek office in 1994,” said Debora H. Golonka, who is now a broker with GC & Associates Realty, Inc.

“Mary Goldman was not only my friend; she was like family to me. She mentored me, and I contribute much of my success to her,” she said. “Mary was always there, not just for me, but for anyone who needed help. She would stop what she was doing so that she could provide assistance. Her customers loved her, and they were extremely loyal to her because of her honesty, work ethic, and gracious way of providing customer service. Mary was a sweet, loving, and hardworking woman who will truly be missed,” Golonka said.

Mrs. Goldman is survived by her son, Ronnie Brantly; and daughters Renee Brantly and Kathy Driscoll; her best friend and granddaughter Mary Brim; eight grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
