Appreciating military service members and their families through real estate

The goal of the National Association of REALTORS’® Military Relocation Professional Certification Course is to educate real estate professionals about the specifics of working with current and former military service members so they can find the housing solution that best suits their needs while taking full advantage of their military benefits and support. In the one-day certification course, students learn how to provide real estate services that will assist military service members and their families at any stage of the service member’s military career. This way, they can meet the needs of this niche market and win future referrals.

“As Jacksonville residents and REALTORS®, we work with military all the time.  In Northeast Florida, there are several military bases within a stone’s throw – Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Naval Station Mayport and all the tenant commands – as well as the ships, the aircraft squadrons, and Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, which is also close by in Georgia. The bottom line is that we are surrounded by military. Florida is a military state, literally. When you take the MRP course, you will find out just how many military folks there really are in the state of Florida and will learn how to work with them. And we need to work with them and their families. We need to show our appreciation for our military people.”  – Patricia Sherman, instructor
