NEFAR Hosts Florida Realtors In Bid To Break Guinness World Record

Hoping to reach 10,000+, live simulcast program on safety will be broadast throughout Florida.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The  bid to break a Guinness World Record for "Largest Business Lesson, Multiple Venues," the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors (NEFAR) will host the Florida Realtors iCE program Realtor Safety and Security on Sept. 9 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

With a goal to reach more than 10,000 individuals, including Realtors and community members, the program will be broadcast live from NEFAR's headquarters location; The Resource Center at 7801 Deercreek Club Road in Jacksonville. The program will be taught by recognized safety expert Andrew Wooten and will be simulcast to Realtor associations throughout Florida. Locally, participants can attend at NEFAR's headquarters location or at one of two NEFAR satellite Service Centers: 4130 S. Third Street, Jacksonville Beach or 1723 Reid Street, Palatka. The program is free and open to anyone in the community, although pre-registration is required and is available online only at
http://www.floridarealtors.org/Education/guinness-record.cfm (you will select your choice of location from a drop-down menu). Participants with active real estate licenses receive three hours of continuing education credit towards license renewal for program attendance.

Live iCE programs are broadcast monthly and offer virtual campus technology that allows participants throughout the state to interact with each other and the instructor simultaneously. The Realtor Safety and Security program, a component of the annually recognized Realtor Safety Month in September, provides education, tools and resources necessary to create safe workplace practices while instilling awareness and empowerment in individuals. Students learn how to take a proactive approach to safety when meeting with clients, conducting open houses and even at home. Identity theft awareness is also covered.

Andrew Wooten is the president of Safety Awareness Firearms Education (S.A.F.E.), and has been in the safety and security industry for more than 24 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Education.
