NEFAR Global Councils Earns Gold Achievement Program Award

Jacksonville, Fla. – The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has awarded the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors’ Global Business Council a Gold Global Achievement Program Award.

NEFAR’s Global Business Council’s mission is to enhance the professionalism of Realtors involved in international transactions and to be the resource for international investment in northeast Florida.

During 2018, the group has conducted a number of activities that contributed to them receiving the gold level award, including:

1) March 26 – a networking breakfast with John Freeman, JAXUSA Partnership

2) May 23 – participating as a team in NEFAR’s HungerFight charitable event

3) June 6 – a lunch meeting and presentation on new local AREAA and NAHREP chapters and National Association of Realtors’ legislative meetings

4) Sept. 6 – NEFAR Global Day (signature annual event) with speakers:
• Cathy Chambers, Sr. Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, JAXUSA Partnership
• Russell Riggs, Sr. Regulatory Policy Representative, National Association of Realtors
• Brian Bergen, V.P. of Economic Development, Putnam County Chamber of Commerce
• Katrina Austin, Project Manager, Flagler County Department of Economic Opportunity
• Giselle Carson, immigration attorney
• Gonzalo Mejia, Realtor and NAR President's Liaison to Uruguay
• Tina Pham, NEFAR member Realtor and Vietnamese immigrant
• Iva Slavtcheva, Business Development Manager, moneycorp

2018 NEFAR President Ben Bates said, “We are proud of our NEFAR Global Business Council for their efforts to spur members’ interest in international real estate and expand their knowledge of real estate transactions across the globe.”
