NEFAR's Global Business Council has been awarded the Gold Achievement Award from the National Association of REALTORS®. This is a step up from the past two COVID-impacted years when the Council took home the Silver Award.
“NEFAR’s Global Business Council has worked diligently from January 1st of 2022 to date, and we still continue to address global business for our NEFAR membership.? We are proud to have earned the Gold Achievement Award for 2022, and we hope to grow our committee to meet even higher standards in the?future,” said Global Business Council Chairman Angie McKee.
NAR’s Global Achievement Program is designed to recognize and reward the most active associations in global business. Among the over 130 global business councils nationwide, each of these organizations has demonstrated the utmost commitment to helping members capture their share of the global real estate market in the United States, in addition to connecting their council and members to the global community in their local area.
Participating councils are divided into four status classifications based on their level of activity: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. A council need not meet every criterion listed for a given status level if the size or demographics of its parent association do not warrant or allow it to do so. Those councils achieving each status classification are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and announced by the National Association of REALTORS® Engagement Team. A council's status year begins at NAR's REALTORS® Conference & Expo. Councils are evaluated in five focus areas: Business Plan, Marketing & Communication, Events/Education, Outreach, and Benchmarking.
This year NEFAR’s Global Council held monthly meetings, as well as mixers, and luncheons at exotic international restaurants, planned for a trade mission to Viet Nam for 2023, held a well-attended Taste-the-Nation fundraiser for the REALTOR® Party, and organized Global Day, where three prominent businessmen, who are deeply involved with Jacksonville’s international community, shared ideas with Global Business Council and other NEFAR members.
