Reginald J. Arline

September 11, 1953 – February 10, 2024

It is with great sadness that NEFAR has learned of the death of long-time member Reginald J. Arline. Reginald, who was 70 years old, died in his sleep on February 10, 2024.

Reginald’s celebration of life will be held Friday, February 23 at 11 am at First Baptist Church in Nocatee at 1770 Valley Ridge Boulevard, Jacksonville, 32256. A viewing will be held from 5 pm – 7 pm Thursday, February 22, at Northside Chapel of Sarah L. Carter’s Funeral Home, 6665 New Kings Road, Jacksonville, 32219.

Reginald became a real estate broker and joined NEFAR nearly 40 years ago in 1985 after a brief career in broadcast journalism.

He graduated from New Stanton High School on 13th Street in Jacksonville in 1971 and earned a degree in broadcast journalism from Jones College in 1975. After graduation he worked for a radio station then spent a few years working for Channel 47 before becoming a real estate professional.

After getting his broker’s license, Reginald opened his own business two years later and became the youngest owner of a Century 21 office – Arline Century 21 Realty. He later worked with Realty Executives, Action Realty, RJ Arline Realty and Associates and lastly at RJ Arline Realty 1 LLC.

During his real estate career, he was often a million-dollar salesman and received numerous sales awards throughout the years.

“So many people have told me that he touched a lot of lives,” said his wife of 20 years, Dee Arline. “A love for people was his strength, and not just a love for people but a Godly love for people. He was a man who truly loved the Lord. He often would read Bible verses and study the Word. He wasn’t a fanatic, but as a man he really loved the Lord. He loved researching the Bible and different scriptures. He told my daughters that if the Lord came today or tomorrow, he would be ready,” said Dee, who also noted that her husband loved traveling via road trips and cruises.
