Patricia J. “Patty” Lipkin

March 1942 – September 12, 2023

It is with real regret that NEFAR has learned of the death of longtime retired REALTOR® Patricia J. “Patty” Lipkin on September 12, 2023. A memorial service was held at Church of Our Savior in Mandarin on October 14, 2023.

A REALTOR® for more than 50 years, Patty, who was 81 when she passed away, joined NEFAR in 1984. She worked many years for Watson Realty Corp. before switching over to Sam Folds Realty in the final years of her long career.

She was a longtime resident of Mandarin and an ardent parishioner of Church of Our Savior in Mandarin.

“She often said that it was her goal in life to make at least one person laugh every day,” said her good friend Cynthia Montello. “If she was able to do that, then she knew she was doing God’s work.”

Patty was the type of person that made it her business to know everyone to whom she came into contact. “She took the time to get to know everyone at the Publix and Trader Joe’s in Mandarin,” Montello said. “That’s what made her so special.

“She had pride in the fact that she had helped hundreds and hundreds of families find a home over her long career. That was very important to her,” she said.

Patty was not only active in real estate but also in other things that were not really related to real estate. She did a lot of charity work, recalled her former broker Sam Folds. “When she was with Watson, she was on the Super Bowl committee,” Folds remembered. “She was always a good lady, always active, upbeat all the time. She would always make a phone call to people who were sick, or hurt, or out of sorts. After she left here, she would call me just to see how I was doing. She would reach out to people.”

Patty was the mother of three children, sons Roy and Randy, who predeceased her, and a daughter Darlene Bailey. She was cremated and her remains were buried in the columbarium at the Church of Our Savior, said Folds.
