Carolyn Goode
November 22, 1943 – February 1, 2022
It is with great sadness that NEFAR has learned of the death of long-time REALTOR® Carolyn Goode, a former Watson REALTOR® who worked out of the firm’s Jacksonville Beach office.
A REALTOR® since 1977, Mrs. Goode earned the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation and was active with the Jacksonville Beach Board of REALTORS® before it became part of NEFAR. She also took an active role in assisting with the transition into NEFAR, said her longtime colleague and friend Janet Palmer of Watson Realty Corp. In 1982, Mrs. Goode joined Watson Realty Corp., where she became a multi-million-dollar producer. She retired from real estate in 2011 when she moved to The Villages in South Florida.
“Carolyn was charming, and she had a very infectious laugh. She kept everybody entertained,” recalled Palmer of her good friend. “She was a very professional associate and had a big following of customers. She was everywhere and sold homes in Jacksonville as well as the Jacksonville Beaches. She knew her stuff. She was always at the top of her game. She was well liked by her customers and the people she did business with within the real estate associations. As her manager, I never had to manage her work. She knew her way around a transaction and was her own mini manager. There was never any issue with what she was working on. She was top drawer.”
Palmer also recalled that Mrs. Goode did her part as a volunteer for NEFAR, Seabreeze Elementary in Jacksonville Beach, and other associations she was affiliated with. “She was just an all-around solid person. She was cheery and wonderful and a joy to be around. She made everybody’s day a little bit better,” Palmer said.
Mrs. Goode is survived by her husband, Denzil Goode; her children: Dane and Shannon Armstrong, Teisha Armstrong Lupole, and Joe, Danny, and James Dansereau; and her grandchildren: Justin, Jessica, Halden, and Liam Armstrong, and Sofia, Aiden, and Asher Dansereau.
