Cole Slate named to Jacksonville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list

Each year, the Jacksonville Business Journal selects 40 business leaders under the age of 40 who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement while also becoming leaders within their communities. This year, Cole Slate, a member of the Northeast Florida Association of REALTORS®, was named as an honoree.

The Business Journal plans to showcase the honorees over the next six weeks and will celebrate their accomplishments during an awards event and in a special section in the newspaper during the last week of April.

To be selected as a 40 Under 40 honoree requires business success, leadership skills and a high level of community involvement. Those selected also must be involved in shaping the community in which they live and work with an eye to helping it chart a path for the future. According to the Jacksonville Business Journal, “the honorees represent a range of industries and background but are united in their desire to help the First Coast grow into the best community it can be.”

After graduating from the University of Florida in 2010, Slate began his real estate career less than 10 years ago. In that short amount of time, Slate has built a thriving real estate business and is now broker/owner of Slate Real Estate, a 17-agent realty firm he opened in 2021. An active member of Northeast Florida’s REALTOR® community, Slate is a NEFAR Leadership Academy graduate and has served in numerous leadership roles within the association including as a member of the Board of Directors, Forms Task Force, and as chairman of the Young Professionals Network and St. Johns Council.

Within the greater community, Slate has served as a volunteer for Best Buddies for more than 20 years, and he has said that he is most proud to have been recognized as NEFAR’s 2017 Humanitarian-of-the-Year recipient.
